On of our clients is Telecom operator , where the management has decided that all projects exceeding 100k, the use benefit management will be mandatory as part of the business approach. This appears as sound management support. However we analyzed that all projects should use benefit management, but scaled to the size of the project. Furthermore the sizing should be related to the return rather than the cost of the project. An investment of 75k€ with a return of 300k€ is a lot more interesting financially then a 120k€ investment with an expected return of only 160k€.
